Robust construction and easy interchangeability

This customer-specific assembly was developed because a a cleaning doctor blade must be periodically passed over the nozzle field in an industrial ink jet printer. This required robust construction and easy interchangeability of the assembly during maintenance.

Monolithic carrier part with single guide

The task was solved with a monolithic carrier part with single guide. The guiding carriages are lubricated for life and protected against dirt by scrapers. The sliding carriage is driven via synchronous belt. A stepper motor with integrated control was selected as the motor. This offers the advantage of a simple electrical connection with only one cable with a standardized plug. The movement is triggered by a signal to the integrated motor controller. After the wiping movement has been executed, the controller sends a signal to the higher-level system.
