Rotary Encoder

Rotary encoders are in most cases directly mounted on the actuator and detect the circular motion of the motor.

That makes it possible to accurately detect which rotation was carried out. Converted it brings a change in position of the slide on the ball screw. This measurement system is ideal for DC and AC motors, or for higher repeatability with stepper motors. In practice incremental measuring systems are frequently used, because they have a good price-performance ratio.
