Plain Bearing

Plain bearings characterized by precise operating parameters in terms of flatness, waviness and straightness; however they are only suitable for applications that require low speeds.

They are suitable for high-precision positioning to a few microns. Due to the constant friction of the components lifetime is limited, even with good lubrication. At the same time they have a reduced stiffness. Plain bearings are suitable for positioning solutions in vacuum or magnet-free applications.
